Bed side rails for hospital beds prevent falls, which are a major problem in healthcare facilities, especially for patients who are impaired due to illness, medication, or other factors.

To ensure that the bed side rails can be adjusted without vibration, SUSPA offers a technically optimal solution with the HD15 damper in the smallest installation space. For the Safe&Free bed side rails of the ESSENZA 300, the damper was individually designed to meet the requirements of the application in terms of dimensions and damping characteristics. Patients and nursing staff thus have the possibility to operate the bed side rails comfortably.

EasyDrive® – Fast and safe patient transport 
The EasyDrive® function with the electrically driven fifth wheel of the ESSENZA 300 hospital bed facilitates the handling of the bed and supports the nursing staff during patient transport. Thus, the patient can be transported quickly and safely along the hospital corridors and placed in the room so that treatment and recovery are disturbed as little as possible.

For this purpose, the 16-4 series gas spring from SUSPA always presses the centrally mounted, electrically driven wheel securely to the floor and thus supports vibration-free patient transport. The 16-4 gas spring offers the ideal solution for integrating high forces (F1 up to 1,200 N) in the compact installation space of the frame tube.
