Rigid locking in the direction of extension

Locking gas springs HY1/HY3
HY1/HY3 is the rigid locking gas spring in the direction of extension.

The rigid locking gas springs in extension mode Varilock HY1 with tube diameter 22mm and HY3 with tube diameter 28mm are used if the locking process does not need to be cushioned. A typical example is its use for the adjustment of backrests of bus seats and height adjustment on table columns where no low progression is requested. In the direction of compression, the HY1 is rigid up to 3.6 x F1 and the HY3 up to 5.6 x F1. These properties open up additional fields of use when the load of the application remains inside this range of forces. As is the case when adjusting the backrests of wheelchairs or of recliners/medical chairs.
