Rigid locking gas springs

The rigid locking gas springs also contain a free-floating piston of the oil-filled working chambers in which the piston moves, hermetically separated from the pressure chamber filled with nitrogen. A distinction is made here between the rigid locking gas springs in the direction of extension (HY1/HY3) and the rigid locking gas springs in the direction of compression (HY4/HY6). The elementary difference lies in the distribution/positioning of the gas and oil chambers.

Elastic locking gas springs

The elastic locking gas springs are filled with nitrogen. Small amounts of oil are used to lubricate the seals. Since gas can be compressed, the positioning of the piston rod is elastic in the locked position in the direction of extension and compression.
