Positioning gas spring (gas spring with friction element)

A special friction band (friction element made of foam) is used in a positioning gas spring. This foam element guarantees that the flap to be opened is held stably in position.

The additional friction required to ensure this is generated by the foam element which is held in contact with the tube of the gas spring by pretension.

Advantages

  • Counterbalance for loads during the opening function
  • The ability to hold or position the door infinitely at any position in it‘s range of motion
